FAQ
Q.....Does your Model change our existing Benefit Plan design?
A.... No. We work within your existing plan . However, you may find
cause for changes based on individual analysis.
Q.... Do you provide insurance coverage?
A.... No, we are not an insurance company. In fact , that is why we can operate
on your behalf regardless of which carrier you use.
Q... How is the medical community responding?
A.... Our projects have proven that physicians and other medical
professionals are responsive to our programs. Discussions are
positive and we have not received any negative feedback. In fact
physicians have been very receptive to the program therefore our results.
Q... Our company has several different benefit plans with a number of insurance
providers, will this impact your model?
A.... No not at all. Our plans can work with all benefit plans regardless of your
carrier. In fact our customers have providers from multiple sources.
Q... Why doesn't our provider offer such a service?
A.... Our services are new to the industry and a quick internet search will reveal that
the insurance industry has not spent much focus on the Physician interaction.
However, a search of US sites where the PBM's are very focussed on
employee and physician education has lead to a 70% plus GFR .
Q... Our Generic Substitution Rate is already at 95 to 100%.. So why do we need to do this?
A... You are quite right about the GSR rate but let us explain the difference. Once a Brand Product
comes off patent or is copied by a number of suppliers most plans have an automatic substitution
rule which allows a pharmacy to offer the lower priced drug. This rule has been in place
for many years now. But, if for some reason, the patient is switched to another product that has patent protection
then the GSR becomes null and void. There is no advantage if the patient has switched. Further explanation is
needed here and we would be happy to share more at a full consultation. The Canadian GFR stands at about
54% currently as compared to the US over 70% and the UK over 80%.
Q... Are you planning a new and expanded project?
A... We are now in expansion mode and anticipate representation throughout Atlantic Canada. If you are
interested in joining with the other companies and groups , please give us a call and we can set up a meeting to
discuss it further.
Q... My company or group has people in Bathurst and some in Cape Breton. Will your service be available to them?
A... Yes, this again is a real benefit of our model. We can work with your employee benefit plan
in all areas of Atlantic Canada.
Q... The GFR rate in Canada is both Public and Private isn't it?
A... Yes, the GFR of 54% is an average of the number (not dollars) of Prescriptions
filled generically for both Private and Public plans. In Canada the Public plans have a
higher percentage of drugs filled generically than the private plans. Private plans have the most to gain
by increasing GFR.
IT IS TIME TO TRY A NEW APPROACH.
